FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Business Credit Questions & Answers
What does business credit building cost in Brooklyn, and why is it one flat fee instead of monthly?
The Business Credit Program is a one-time $2,500, with payment plans available. We charge a flat fee rather than a monthly retainer because the work is front-loaded: credibility setup, bureau registration, and your build plan all happen in the first few weeks. Monthly billing quietly rewards a slow build. You may cancel within three business days of enrolling for a full refund; after that, fees for milestones already delivered are earned.
Do I need revenue or time in business before this is worth paying for?
No. Vendor and net-30 accounts approve on your EIN with no established credit, which is exactly why the build can start before you have revenue. What you do need is a properly registered entity, a valid EIN, and a business bank account in the company name. If those are not in place, we tell you during the free consultation rather than taking the fee.
Is this the same as credit repair?
No, and we keep the two completely separate. We build credit under your company EIN so your business can qualify on its own profile. Personal credit repair is performed by a partner company we refer you to, not by us. Owners who blend the two usually end up making progress on neither.
Do I have to come to the Sterling Street office, or does this work remotely?
Entirely remotely if you prefer. Consultations run by phone or video, documents move through your client portal, and we work with owners well outside New York. The Brooklyn office at 224 Sterling St is there for people who would rather sit down in person, not because the process requires it.
My business is registered in New York but I operate across the bridge. Does that affect the build?
What matters is that your entity is in good standing in its state of registration and that your business name, address, and phone match everywhere they appear. Operating across state or borough lines is fine. Mismatched records are the real problem, and they cause quiet denials that never explain themselves.
I run my business from home in Crown Heights. Can I still build business credit?
Yes, and many of our clients start exactly there. Lenders check that your address is consistent and reachable, not that it is commercial space. What hurts is using a home address on some records and a virtual office on others. We audit that consistency before anything gets submitted.
How do I know you are not one of the outfits promising guaranteed approvals?
Because we do not promise them. Approvals, credit limits, and funding amounts are decided by lenders, vendors, and the business credit bureaus using their own criteria, not by us. Anyone guaranteeing a specific outcome is describing something outside their control. What we commit to is the work and an honest read of where your business actually stands.
Will you ask me for a CPN or a new identity number?
Never. Using a CPN or any substitute for a valid Social Security Number or EIN is illegal, and we end the engagement with anyone who tries to use our services that way. Legitimate business credit is built on your real EIN and a real, properly registered company.
What happens if a vendor or lender declines my business after I have paid?
That on its own is not grounds for a refund, because the decision was not ours to make. What we do is diagnose why, which is usually a fundability mismatch such as an address, phone, or entity record that does not line up, then fix it and re-sequence your applications. Refunds attach to work we failed to deliver, not to a third party saying no.
